Projects

Under the Consolidated Operations, Management, Engineering & Test (COMET) contract, ¼«Æ·Ì½»¨ provides engineering; ground system development; flight vehicle/spacecraft processing; and launch, landing and recovery operations for NASA’s major Exploration Systems Development programs: Exploration Ground Systems, Space Launch System and Orion programs.

As the Artemis prime contractor at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) for Exploration Ground Systems, ¼«Æ·Ì½»¨ handled the final checkout and integration of all flight hardware for Artemis I. The ¼«Æ·Ì½»¨ team received Orion from Lockheed Martin following the crew capsule and service module assembly in the Neil Armstrong Operations and Checkout Building at KSC. Orion was in the Multi-Purpose Processing Facility (MPPF), where complex ground servicing operations were performed on the service module and crew module systems used during on-orbit mission operations. These systems include reaction control and orbital maneuvering propulsion systems, avionics cooling systems, and crew module interior environmental systems.

In addition, the ¼«Æ·Ì½»¨ team performed avionics testing, mission payload fit checks, developmental flight instrumentation sensor installations, thermal protection installations, and the application of NASA and ESA logos. From the MPPF, Orion was moved to the Launch Abort Servicing Facility, where ¼«Æ·Ì½»¨ stacked the Launch Abort System on top of the crew module. Then, it was transported to the VAB for stacking on the SLS core stage.

Under the JSC Engineering, Technology, and Science (JETS) II contract, ¼«Æ·Ì½»¨ provides engineering design, development, sustaining engineering, analysis, assessment, technology development, test services and laboratory/facility operation and maintenance for the JSC Engineering Directorate. ¼«Æ·Ì½»¨ also delivers planetary missions research, physical science research, astromaterial curation and laboratory/facility operation and maintenance for the JSC Exploration Integration and Science Directorate, as well as engineering and related services for other organizations at JSC and other Centers and government agencies.

Under the Aerospace Testing and Facilities Operations and Maintenance (ATOM-5) contract, ¼«Æ·Ì½»¨ will be responsible for operation, maintenance, repair and management of Ames test facilities; planning, preparation, scheduling and execution of aeronautics and space technology tests; and design, implementation and checkout of advanced development projects. These tasks will support the Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate, the Directorate, the Space Launch System, and the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, in addition to commercial entities and other government agencies.

The Engineering Services and Science Capability Augmentation (ESSCA) contract enables ¼«Æ·Ì½»¨ to continue providing critical science and engineering and technical support for flagship NASA programs including the Space Launch System, International Space Station and numerous space science and technology development projects.

¼«Æ·Ì½»¨ provides research facility operations, central utilities operations, technology development/ administration, research and institutional maintenance, and facility engineering.

Working through the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract, ¼«Æ·Ì½»¨ provided integrated solutions to support the test in all phases. From ICBM launch, to ground, sea and space-based sensors providing real-time target acquisition and tracking data, to operation of the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) system, and finally target discrimination, GBI launch and intercept.

¼«Æ·Ì½»¨ provides 24/7 support to the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center – a key component of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). The ¼«Æ·Ì½»¨ team supports flight systems and ground systems testing; hardware-in-the-loop tests, execution and control; and classified and unclassified military simulations for the development of the BMDS. ¼«Æ·Ì½»¨ also provides IT, cybersecurity and telecommunication solutions for the MDA’s enterprise communications and information technology environment to help secure and protect our nation’s most coveted assets.

¼«Æ·Ì½»¨ supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station (CMAFS) and Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado; Offutt AFB, Nebraska; Vandenberg AFB, California; and other sites, worldwide. The NISSC II OM&S Task Order also establishes requirements for operations and maintenance support for the CMAFS Information Systems Infrastructure.

¼«Æ·Ì½»¨ delivers innovative OM&S solutions for an expanding portfolio of U.S. Government and commercial customers, driving added value while enabling its clients’ most critical missions.
